Embracing cross-border banking, Valuto offers a European multi currency account for B2B and B2C payments; a cost-effective solution that facilitates everything from foreign exchange to sending and receiving transfers in local currencies across Europe. The solution accesses the company's network of bank accounts across Europe, enabling Valuto customers to send and receive same day transfers at a fraction of the cost offered by their banks. The platform also leverages the company's existing currency-exchange marketplace, which boasts over 380,000 registered users and facilitated over 3.2 billion Euros in exchanges in 2015.
According to Michał Czekalski, CEO and Co-Founder of Currency-One, "We use the term cross-border when in reality customers are able to make domestic, localized payments using our network of bank accounts throughout Europe. If a Swedish user would like to make a payment to his supplier in Hungary, he can exchange SEK for HUF using our peer-to-peer marketplace before making a payout via our account in Budapest. Everything is done under the Valuto payment account; with just a few clicks the user can be confident that he has chosen the most cost- effective option on the market."
The Valuto team, led by co-founders, Lukasz Olek and Michał Czekalski, will be unveiling the Valuto open API. The open API enables seamless integration with numerous systems including SaaS accounting services, e invoicing, B2B marketplaces and e-commerce platforms. Specifically the team will demonstrate how Valuto works through a partner's platform, emphasizing the added benefits for the partner's users.
"When it comes to currency exchange and cross-border payments we are continuously looking to improve the experience for SMEs. It starts with currency exchange and cross-border payments but this must also include integrations with other software used by SMEs, namely e-invoicing and SaaS accounting software" adds Michał.
"I believe that an API is the best way to access banking. It puts financial transactions in a context that has greater meaning for end users. We think that forcing customers to perform their operations manually through a banking system located behind a firewall is old fashioned. Making account operations such as sending or receiving a transfer part of an automated workflow will increase our customer's productivity" says Łukasz Olek, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder.
In December of 2015, Valuto was recognized among the world's Top 100 leading fintech innovators, a ranking compiled by fintech investment firm, H2 Ventures and KPMG Fintech.
