Aged 48, MBA Harvard, Master ESSEC, DESS Finance.
In 1989 he joined the Financial Management at Renault Crédit International (RCI) as head of Banks and Subsidiaries.
In 1995, he was appointed Director of Financial Services Europe with Case Corp. and set up Case Credit Europe that he ran until 1999.
He then moved to the Auchan Group to head its banking division, Banque Accord. Under his leadership it opened up in 10 new countries and in nine years increased fivefold in size, the net banking income growing from €65 M to €325 M.
Between 2005 and 2007 he was President of the EuroCommerce Payment Systems Committee in Brussels. He also represented Commerce on the SEPA National Committee in France.
After an experience in the insurance brokerage as Executive Chairman & CEO of Aon France, Damien Guermonprez has held, since 2009, two non-executive posts as Member of the BUT Supervisory Board charged with supervising the banking subsidiary Fidem (JV with BNP Paribas Personal Finance) and as Chairman of Lemon Way, a start-up specialising in Mobile Payment.
He knows Belgium well having spent his in-company national service at 3SUISSES Belgium and as a native of Lille.
In 2010 he accompanied the acquisition by the Apax Partners investment fund of the Belgian leader in financing at the place of sale. It is therefore natural for him to take over as CEO of the credit company with its 220 staff and active customer portfolio of 500,000. With 70 million euros of own funds and 500 million euros in outstanding credit, BUY WAY PF has a strong capital base.
Damien Guermonprez is married with three children.
