USA: CFO Moves – week ending November 23, 2012

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM) announced that Marianne Lake, currently Chief Financial Officer of its Consumer & Community Banking business, will become Chief Financial Officer for the company and a member of it Operating Committee, effective early next year. Ms. Lake will succeed Doug Braunstein, who will become a Vice Chairman of the company following Ms. Lake’s transition into the CFO position in first quarter 2013. Prior to taking on that role of CFO of JPMorgan Chase’s Consumer & Community Banking unit, Ms. Lake served as Global Controller of the Investment Bank from 2007 to 2009. From 2004 to 2007, she was in the Corporate Finance group managing global finance infrastructure and controls functions. Prior to 2004, she was the Senior Financial Officer for the company in the United Kingdom.

State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT) announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Edward J. Resch has informed the company of his plan to retire in 2013, after more than a decade in the role, following the appointment of his successor and an orderly transition of the function.

PMC, Inc. (NASDAQ: PMCS) announced the appointment of Steven J. Geiser as vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to joining PMC, Mr. Geiser held the position of CFO at two early stage companies. Most recently he was chief financial officer at Trilliant Networks, Inc. At RMI, he played a pivotal role in the successful sale of the company to Netlogic Microsystems. Prior to RMI, Mr. Geiser spent nine years at AMD in a variety of financial roles, culminating in an instrumental role responsible for setting up the AMD – Fujitsu joint venture that led to the formation of Spansion.

Panzura announced that Michael Morgan has joined the team as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Panzura, Morgan held the CFO position at Model N. Morgan also served as CFO at Skybox Security, as well as BackWeb Technologies. Prior to BackWeb, Morgan led two IPOs including Talarian, which was sold to Tibco Software.

Emergent BioSolutions (NYSE: EBS) announced that Robert G. Kramer has been appointed as the company’s chief financial officer effective December 3, 2012. Mr. Kramer succeeds R. Don Elsey, who will be leaving to pursue a new opportunity at a private healthcare company. Mr. Kramer is currently executive vice president, corporate services division, and with this appointment, his title will become executive vice president, corporate services division and chief financial officer. Mr. Kramer first joined Emergent in 1999 as chief financial officer. From 1999 until his retirement in 2010, he held various executive positions with the last being president of Emergent’s Lansing operations. In 2011, he served in a consulting capacity as the interim head of the biosciences division and in 2012, as the interim head of the corporate services division. In September this year, Mr. Kramer returned to the company and was named executive vice president, corporate services division.

The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE: SHAW) announced that Timothy J. Poché, who previously served as Shaw’s senior vice president and chief accounting officer, will join Shaw’s Power Group as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

NexBank Capital, Inc. announced that Kenneth R. Hanks has been named Chief Financial Officer of and its banking subsidiary, NexBank SSB. Prior to joining NexBank, Hanks served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SWS Group, Inc.. He currently serves as a Board Member and Audit Committee Chair to Peerless Manufacturing.

NanoLumens has appointed John Kahn as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Kahn was CFO of TeamStaff, Inc.

Gardner Denver, Inc.(NYSE: GDI) announced the appointment of Michael M. Larsen as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Larsen will continue to fulfill the role of Chief Financial Officer until a successor is named.Mr.Larsen was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer of Gardner Denver, Inc. in July 2012 and has served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since October 2010. Prior to joining Gardner Denver, Mr. Larsen spent 15 years with General Electric Company, where he held a number of finance roles with increasing responsibility, including CFO of GE Water & Process Technologies. He began his GE career at GE Healthcare as part of the Financial Management Program in 1995.

Samuel Shapiro & Company, Inc. announced the addition of C. Walter Starr as Chief Financial Officer. Starr was previously CFO and Vice President of Finance & Administration at TBB Global Logistics.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) announced the resignation of Paul Pucino, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

AngioDynamics (NASDAQ: ANGO) announced Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Joseph Gersuk will retire from the Company on January 31, 2013. He will be succeeded by Mark T. Frost, who was most recently Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Administration of Albany Molecular Research Inc. (AMRI). Prior to AMRI, he served five years as vice president of finance at Smith & Nephew Endoscopy. Mr. Frost was recruited to Smith & Nephew after a 14 year career with General Electric where he last served as Chief Financial Officer of Groupe Sovac Auto Financial Services based in Paris, France.

Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC) announced that Michael E. Lonsway joined the company’s executive management team as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Lonsway joined Forest City in 2004 and has served in a variety of progressively more senior financial roles, most recently as Senior Vice President, Capital Markets with Forest City Enterprises, Inc., FCRC’s parent company. Prior to joining Forest City, Lonsway’s career included serving as a divisional comptroller for IMG Worldwide. Before that, he was CFO for automotive supply distributor Wurth USA (a division of Germany’s Wurth Group). He began his career with The Sherwin-Williams Company, where he served as a field auditor and international accounting manager.
