UK | CFO Moves - week ending 8 november 2013

Smart Metering Systems plc (AIM: SMS.L) announced that Paul Dollman has agreed to join the Board as Chairman. Paul Dollman was Group Finance Director of John Menzies plc for over ten years until May 2013. Prior to that he was Group Finance Director of William Grant and Sons Ltd and previously held senior finance positions in Inveresk plc, Maddox Group plc and Clydesdale Retail Group. He is a non-executive Director of Scottish Amicable Life Association Society and is a member of the Audit Committee of The National Library of Scotland. Following his appointment as Chairman of SMS, he will Chair the Company’s Remuneration and the Nomination Committees and sit on the Audit Committee.

Victrex plc announced that Steve Barrow will stand down from the Board as Group Finance Director, effective 31 January 2014. Louisa Burdett will succeed Steve as Group Finance Director. Louisa was until recently Group Finance Director of Optos plc and has held senior finance roles with Financial Times Group and Amersham plc. Louisa Burdett will join Victrex as Group Finance Director designate on 2 January 2014. She will then step up to the Board as Group Finance Director and Chairman of the Currency Committee on 31 January 2014, after Steve steps down from the Board on that date. Steve will support Louisa during a handover period and will then remain as an employee of Victrex until 31 May 2014.

Moneysupermarket.com Group PLC announced the appointment of Matthew Price as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Paul Doughty. It is expected that Matthew, currently Finance Director at Costa Coffee, will join Moneysupermarket and be appointed an Executive Director in the first quarter of 2014, and that Paul will leave following a handover period. Matthew previously held senior financial roles at Sodexo where he was a finance director and prior to that J Sainsbury where he was retail finance director, director of property and head of capital investment.

London Mining has named Benjamin Lee as its new CFO, replacing Rachel Rhodes. Lee has been an executive board director at London Mining since 2011 and head of corporate development since 2009.
