As Origination Director, Angel Blanco has responsibility for originating receivables finance, trade receivables securitisations and supply chain finance programs mainly for Spanish and Portuguese multinational corporates and financial institutions. As part of Demica’s commitment to offering in-market accessibility to its clients, he will be co-located in Spain and London.
Angel joins Demica from Santander Global Banking and Markets where he was most recently Head of Receivables – Executive Director - responsible globally for the origination, structuring and execution of structured trade and receivable finance transactions.
Enrique Jimenez joins Demica as Senior Supply Chain Finance Origination Director. In addition to seeking receivables securitisation opportunities, Enrique will focus on originating and building supply chain finance programs across Europe. This builds on Demica’s recent significant investment in its technology platform to support non-investment grade clients and their large number of smaller, cross-border suppliers. Enrique is based in London, with broad geographic coverage responsibilities.
Enrique was previously at Santander where he most recently held the position of Head of Supply Chain Finance and Trade and was a member of the Executive Committee of Santander GTB Continental Europe.
Marc Wolf joins Demica as Origination Director, with responsibility for originating receivables securitisation and supply chain finance programs for German and multinational corporates, and financial institutions. Marc is based in London with Northern European coverage responsibilities
Marc previously held the position of Executive Director – Securitisation at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, where he was responsible for the origination and structuring of trade receivables transactions for European corporate clients, particularly in Germany.
All three will report to Tim Davies, Head of Origination.
Commenting on the appointments, Tim Davies said, “We have been aggressively growing our origination team over the last year as we work with existing and new clients to find solutions for their working capital requirements. We announced recently that we’ve been mandated for over $1bn of new live transactions and with Angel, Enrique and Marc on board we look forward to continuing to grow this number.”
These appointments reflect ongoing growth for Demica since it was purchased by a private equity-led consortium in 2014. Since then the firm has hired a significant number of key people including in management, origination and structuring.
