CFO Moves Canada – week ending Novembre 22, 2013


Oracle Mining Corp. (TSX: OMN) announced the appointment of Ampere Chan as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Chan joined Oracle Mining as Manager, Corporate Finance and Development in February 2013.

Millar Western Forest Products Ltd. announced the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Kevin Edgson, who will be leaving the company effective December 1, 2013, to pursue a new career opportunity as President and CEO of an eastern Canada-based forest products company. Kevin joined Millar Western in 1991 and was appointed Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer in 2006.

Environmental Waste International Inc. (TSX-V: EWS) announced the appointment of Bob MacBean as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. MacBean was most recently Sr. VP & CFO Of Energy Advantage Inc. and CFO of Selient Inc. prior to that.

Midpoint Holdings Ltd. (TSX-V: MPT) announced that David Moseley has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. The Company has appointed Craig Astle as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Astle is a Chartered Accountant with Comishin & Astle Inc. Mr. Astle has been in public practice since 1990 and his strengths are in audits, estate planning, business start up and accounting.


CFO Moves Canada – week ending Novembre 15, 2013

Intact Financial Corporation (TSX: IFC) announced that Mark Tullis, currently Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, has become Executive Vice President, Governance and Capital Management. Louis Marcotte, currently Senior Vice President, Strategic Distribution, has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. These changes will become effective December 1.

Fronsac Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX-V: GAZ.UN) announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Etienne Lapointe, informed the Board of Trustees that he will leave his position on December 31st. The Board of Trustees has also made the appointment of Patrick Bazinet as Chief Financial Officer, effective after the departure of Mr. Lapointe. Mr. Bazinet is a trustee of Fronsac REIT.

Colossus Minerals Inc. (TSX: CSI) announced that David Massola has been appointed the Company’s Interim Chief Executive Officer effective today. Mr. Massola is currently Colossus’ Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Massola was President and Chief Executive Officer of Continental Nickel Limited from 2011 until it was acquired by IMX Resources Limited in 2012. Mr. Massola served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Globestar Mining Corp. from 2006 until it was acquired by Perilya Limited in 2011. Prior to joining GlobeStar, Mr. Massola served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of De Beers Canada, Inc. from 2001 to 2006. Prior to joining De Beers, Mr. Massola spent 20 years at BHP-Billiton where his roles included the position of Vice President of Finance at BHP Diamonds Inc.

Argonaut Gold Inc. (TSX: AR) announced the appointment of David Ponczoch as its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ponczoch joins Argonaut Gold following his service as Chief Financial Officer at Twin Metals Minnesota, a joint venture between Antofagasta PLC and Duluth Metals. In addition to his experience as Chief Financial Officer, he has managed responsibilities in a corporate and mine capacity, serving as the Regional Finance Director at Yamana Gold Company in Santiago, Chile, and as the Controller at the El Penon Mine for Meridian Gold. Mr. Ponczoch replaces outgoing Chief Financial Officer, Barry Dahl.


CFO Moves Canada – week ending Novembre 8, 2013

Calfrac Well Services Ltd. (TSX: CFW) announced that Michael J. (Mick) McNulty has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Calfrac, effective December 4, 2013. Mr. McNulty most recently served for Saxon Energy Services Inc. as the President and Chief Executive Officer from January 2009 until April 2013 and as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from October 2005 until December 2008. Prior thereto, Mr. McNulty was employed by Precision Drilling Corporation, serving as the Senior Vice President, Finance from June 2001 until September 2005 and as the Vice President, Business Development and Treasurer from January 1997 until June 2001.

NanoStruck Technologies Inc. (CNSX: NSK) announced that Former Chief Financial Officer, Alfredo Albi has taken on the new role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) to better utilize his operational experience. Prior to joining NanoStruck, Mr. Albi served as a CFO for Meditech International Inc. and as the Vice President for CiRBA Inc. Rajeev Agarwal has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company. Prior to joining NanoStruck, Mr. Agarwal was a CFO at Eastnets and a CFO for OceanLake Commerce Inc.

NorthWest International Healthcare Properties REIT (TSX-V: MOB.UN) announced the appointment of Teresa Neto as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Neto most recently held the role of Chief Financial Officer of KEYreit from 2011 to 2013. Previous to KEYreit, Ms. Neto was the Chief Financial Officer of Retrocom REIT. Prior to Retrocom, Teresa spent nearly five years with the Real Property Association of Canada (“REALpac”) as VP, Financial Reporting. Before REALpac, Teresa held increasingly senior finance roles in the telecommunications, consumer packaged goods and communications industries. Concurrent with this appointment, Brian Wilson has resigned as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the REIT and will continue with the REIT as its Senior Vice President, Finance.

Kombat Copper Inc. (TSX-V: KBT) announced that Paul Bozoki has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Mr. He has over fifteen years of accounting, tax and corporate finance and has experience in international taxation and foreign capital markets.

Vulcan Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: VUL) announced the appointment of Sharon M. Dunn as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. Ms. Dunn operates a public accounting practice in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She has previously fulfilled the role of Chief Financial Officer with a TSX-V listed company. Dawn Bishop has resigned as Chief Financial Officer – Corporate Secretary to pursue other career opportunities.

CFO Moves Canada – week ending Novembre 1, 2013

Morguard North American Residential REIT (TSX: MRG.UN) announced that Robert Wright has been appointed to succeed Paul Miatello as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Miatello has served as Chief Financial Officer since the REIT’s initial public offering in April 2012 and will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer of Morguard Corporation and as a Vice President of the REIT. Mr. Miatello will serve as a resource to Mr. Wright to ensure a smooth transition. Mr. Wright has over 25 years of experience including 12 years as Chief Financial Officer for various public entities. Mr. Wright has also served as Vice President of Morguard Corporation since July 23, 2012 and Vice President of ClubLink Enterprises Limited since December 28, 2007.

Mood Media Corporation (TSX: MM) announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Ben Gujral, is leaving the Company to pursue other opportunities, effective November 15, 2013. Randal Rudniski has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer. Randal Rudniski currently serves as Mood Media’s Executive Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development, a role he has held since September 2012. Prior to joining Mood Media, Mr. Rudniski founded RJR Communications Insights Inc. Before founding RJR Communications Insights, he served as Director of Equity Research for Media and Telecommunications at Credit Suisse Securities Canada for more than ten years.

Moly Mines Limited (TSX: MOL) reports the appointments of Alan Howells as Acting Chief Financial Officer “CFO”. Alan Howells, previously Financial Controller, has more than 25 years of finance experience and previously held senior roles including Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. Initially employed by Australian Consolidated Minerals and then Normandy Posiedon, he then held roles within smaller exploration and mining companies prior to Moly Mines.

Hodgins Auctioneers (TSX-V: HA) announced the appointment of Allyson Stephens as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently she served as Finance Manager for Boart Longyear’s Western Canada Coring division and previous to that, as CFO and Corporate Secretary for a Junior Mining/Exploration Company. Scott G. Janke resigned as CFO due to other work commitments.

GINSMS Inc. (TSX-V: GOK) announced that it has appointed Jonathan Lai, its Chairman of the Board of Directors, as interim Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation in replacement of Koon Fai (Faith) Lam.

Iona Energy Inc. (TSX-V: INA) announced that Rod Begbie, Chief Financial Officer of the Company, has resigned as CFO. Effective immediately, Graham Heath, currently VP Corporate Development, has resumed the position of Interim CFO.
