Canada | CFO Moves – week ending May 16, 2014

Tracking CFO Movement Across Canada.


Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (TSX: IE) announced that Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Gerald Schiefelbein, is leaving Ivanhoe Energy to accept a leadership role with another company.

Badger Daylighting Ltd. (TSX: BAD) announced that Greg Kelly, VP Finance & CFO has decided to retire from Badger after almost 15 years in this position. The company appointed Gerald Schiefelbein as the new VP Finance & CFO, and will join the company on June 2nd. Mr. Schiefelbein was most recently CFO of Ivanhoe Energy Inc.

Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) announced that Jill Sharlandhas been appointed to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Jill joins the GTAA following a successful twenty year career at Rogers Communications. Most recently she was Vice President, Finance for Rogers Wireless, Cable, and Business Solutions. During Jill’s tenure at the Rogers group of companies, she also held various positions within the Rogers Wireless business, including Vice President Strategic Planning and Analysis; Vice President Finance, Wireless Operations; and Controller (Ontario Division).

Sonoro Energy Ltd. (TSX-V: SNV) announced that Darren Moulds has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company. His past endeavors include holding CFO and officer level positions with junior international oil and gas companies and six years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

TrinCan Capital Corp. (TSX-V: TRN) announced that Rebecca Hudson has resigned as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and from the Company’s Board of Directors in order to pursue other opportunities. James Micules has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Micules is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience in public accounting, concentrating on tax consulting and planning.

Fortis Inc. (TSX: FTS) announces that Barry Perry, Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Fortis will become CEO upon the retirement of the current CEO, effective December 31, 2014. Mr. Perry joined the Fortis organization in April 2000 as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Newfoundland Power Inc. He has served as Vice President, Finance and CFO of Fortis since January 2004.

Liquid Nutrition Group Inc. (TSX-V: LQD) announced the appointment Greg Chamandy as its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Chamandy was Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Chamandy had previously been acting as interim Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation since August 12, 2013.

A.I.S. Resources Limited (TSX-V: AIS.H) announced that effective April 30, 2014, the Board of Directors has appointed Kiki Smith as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. She has over 20 years of experience assisting private and public companies in the roles of Accountant, Corporate Controller and CFO in mining, oil and gas, real estate, high technology, and investment fund management. Ms. Smith currently provides consulting services to several public and private companies in the resource and investment sectors. The Corporation’s previous Chief Financial Officer, C. Alan Smith, resigned but continues to be a director of the Corporation.

VendTek Systems Inc. (TSX-V: VSI) announced that it has hired Andy Telford as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Telford has a strong track record in both public and private companies with senior finance and CFO roles at 360 networks; Canwest-Global; Teligence Communications; Enbridge; Shaw Communications; Broadband TV; and CHC Helicopter. He is a veteran of companies characterized by significant growth and complex transactions. Mr. Telford replaces Irwin Studen who acted as Interim CFO

AirBoss of America Corp. (TSX: BOS) announced that Wendy Ford has been appointed CFO. Mrs. Ford has been Director of Finance of AirBoss since 2011 and was appointed interim CFO in March 2014. Mrs. Ford brings 25 years of audit and financial reporting experience in various industries.

Troymet Exploration Corp. (TSX-V: TYE) announced that Brian Cebryk will resign as Chief Financial Officer of Troymet effective May 30, 2014. Mr. Cebryk will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of Troymet. Mr. Cebryk resigned as CFO in order to pursue personal interests unrelated to business endeavors.

WANTED Technologies (TSX-V: WAN) announced that Jean Lavigueur will be joining its Board of Directors. Mr. Lavigueur is Chief Financial Officer of Coveo Solutions Inc. Before Coveo Solutions Inc., he co-founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of Taleo Corporation from March 1999 to May 2005, and served from June 2005 to December 2005 in other capacities, including Vice-President, Finance. Prior to Taleo Corporation, Mr. Lavigueur served as Chief Financial Officer of Baan Supply Chain Solutions, from May 1996 to February 1999, and as Chief Financial Officer of Berclain Group Inc. from May 1991 to April 1996. Prior to his employment with Berclain Group Inc. Mr. Lavigueur will also be a member of the Audit Committee of the Company.

Global Cobalt Corp. (TSX-V: GCO) announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Oleg Scherbina as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Scherbina replaces Chris Couzelis who served as CFO since the Company’s inception in 2007.

Meridian appointed Bill Maurin as President and CEO of Meridian. Maurin, who joined Meridian in 2002 and served as Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, was appointed Acting President and CEO in 2012, as a result of a medical leave of the former President and CEO.

ATK Oilfield Transportation Inc. announced the appointment of Brett Walker as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Walker was most recently Corporate Controller for Saxon Energy Services. Prior to that, he was Reporting Controller for a publically traded agriculture and construction equipment company.
