Canada | CFO Moves – week ending February 24, 2017

UrtheCast Corp. [VANCOUVER] (TSX: UR) announced Sai W. Chu will be appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Company in late March 2017. Mr. Chu will succeed Issa Nakhleh, who will be resigning from the Company after nearly five years to pursue other interests. Mr. Nakhleh will remain as CFO until the Company has filed its annual financial results for the year ended December 31, 2016, after which point Mr. Chu will take over the role. Prior to joining UrtheCast, Mr. Chu served as the Chief Financial Officer of Seaspan Corporation. Prior to joining Seaspan, Mr. Chu was the Corporate Controller at TSX-listed Datawest Solutions Inc., which is now part of Fiserv Inc.

International Lithium Corp. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: ILC) announced the appointment of Patricia Fong as Chief Financial Officer. For eleven years, she held the role of Controller for the Lundin Group of Companies and since 2009, she has served as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary for several public resource companies. Ms. Fong replaces Maurice Brooks who had taken on the role of Chief Financial Officer on an interim basis earlier this year. Mr. Brooks, recently appointed to the board of directors of ILC, will remain a special advisor to the Company in the capacity of strategic risk management and internal audit.

LOGiQ Asset Management Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: LGQ) announced the appointment of Mary Anne Palangio as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, she served as Chief Financial Officer of the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan Administration Corporation and, prior to that, held several senior operations roles within Manulife Financial Corporation. During her career, she has also held a number of senior finance and operations roles at Perimeter Financial Corporation, EdgeStone Capital Partners and The Canada Life Assurance Company. Ms. Palangio succeeds Derek Slemko, who has been with the LOGiQ group since 2006 and who most recently served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

Itafos [TORONTO] (TSX-V: IFOS) announced the promotion of Brian Zatarain as Chief Executive Officer from Chief Financial Officer. Rafael Rangel will step in as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer with a focus on Accounting, Tax and Treasury functions, a role he previously held on an interim basis from April 2016 to October 2016.
