CFO Moves – week ending June 22, 2012

CFO Moves this week include:


Sony Corporation of America (SCA), a U.S. subsidiary of Sony Corporation, announced the promotion of Steven E. Kober to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Kober, who is currently Senior Vice President, Finance, succeeds Robert S. Wiesenthal, who is becoming President, International at Sony/ATV Music Publishing. After working at the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Kober joined SCA as Assistant Controller in 1989. He was promoted to Controller and later became Senior Vice President, Finance.

Xactly Corporation has appointed Joe Consul as its new chief finance officer. Former Xactly CFO Scott Broomfield is now managing the fast-growing Xactly Express incentive compensation solution for expanding businesses. Prior to joining Xactly, Consul was CFO at LogLogic and Everdream. Previously, Consul was the financial leader at Arcot Systems. Consul also was CFO at Tumbleweed Communications.

Acsis, Inc. named Stephanie Seibel as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Seibel joined Acsis’ financial team in 2007, and was previously Vice President of Finance.

BPL Global, Ltd. announced today that it has appointed Craig Wellen to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to BPLG, Wellen was one of the initial partners of Greentech Capital Advisors. Before Greentech, Wellen worked as a senior investment banker at Citigroup. Previous to his work at Citigroup, he was a core team member of SG Barr Devlin.

Hirease announced that Steve Morris is its new Chief Financial Officer. Morris brings diverse financial experience to Hirease including former positions as CFO and President, as well as, an entrepreneurial background.

The Pep Boys announced the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Ray Arthur in order to pursue another business opportunity.

Project Frog, Inc. announced the addition of Greg Saunders to its management team as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to joining Project Frog, Saunders served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Tioga Energy, Inc. Prior to Tioga, he was chief financial officer of Codding Investments. He was also executive vice president and CFO at Bridger Commercial Funding, and has held similar executive positions at National Information Group, Transcisco Industries, Inc. and PLM International.

Abakan Inc. (OTCQB ABKI) announced the appointment of David G. Charbonneau as an independent member of the Board of Directors. He is expected to serve as the Head of Abakan’s Audit Committee and as a member of the recently formed Compensation, Nominating and Ethics Committees. Mr. Charbonneau’s experience includes 5 years as Chief Financial Officer for Diamond Engineered Space Inc. until 1993. Afterward, Mr. Charbonneau became Chief Financial Officer and Director for Waco International Corporation until 1998. David is an Associate Director for SS&G Parkland, in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Resmark Companies announced today that it has named Jeffrey C. Herrmann to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Herrmann was most recently a Vice President at EJL Homes. Previously, he was the Vice President, Corporate Development, at John Laing Homes.

Scott & White Health Plan, a division of Scott & White Healthcare, announced today the appointment of Scott Dickison as chief financial officer (CFO). He was formerly CFO for Renown Health-Hometown Health in Nevada. His background includes senior level finance positions with Geisinger Health System, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield and Kaiser Permanente.

BeesFree, Inc. (OBB: BEES) announced that it has named David W. Todhunter, the Company’s CFO, as interim President and CEO upon the resignation of its President and CEO, Mario Sforza. Mr. Todhunter has been the Company’s CFO since December 16, 2011. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Todhunter has served as the CFO or CEO for several companies ranging in size from start-ups to $100 million in revenue. He has also participated on over 20 corporate boards of directors.

Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ: BBOX) announced today that it has appointed Michael McAndrew as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2013. Mr. McAndrew is currently the Company’s Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer. In order to ensure a smooth transition, R. Terry Blakemore, President and Chief Executive Officer, will continue in those positions until March 31, 2013. Mr. McAndrew was promoted to Executive Vice President on May 11, 2010. He had previously been promoted to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on December 13, 2002. He became Secretary and Treasurer on January 31, 2003. He was Manager of Corporate Planning and Analysis prior to December 13, 2002.

Merchants Bank announced the promotion of Janet P. Spitler to the office of Executive Vice President. Ms. Spitler leads the Finance Department and is CFO and Treasurer. Ms. Spitler joined Merchants Bank in 1990. She has served as the Treasurer of Merchants Bank since 1995 and as Chief Financial Officer since 1997. She was appointed to the office of Senior Vice President in 2006. She serves on the Board of Directors of Housing Vermont and is a member of the Vermont Tax Advisory Board.

CytoSorbents Corporation (OTC: CTSO) announced the pending departure of David Lamadrid, Chief Financial Officer, effective July 11, 2012 following over 12 years of service to the Company due to personal reasons. Mr. Lamadrid started consulting with the Company’s founders in 1999, joined full time as VP of Finance in 2000, and has been the Company’s CFO since 2002. Upon his departure the Company is appointing Ron Berger, its current Controller, as interim CFO. Over more than 30 years, Mr. Berger has performed many roles in accounting and finance, including serving as Vice President of Finance and Administration of Quick Chek Corporation and Controller of Singer Supermarkets, a member of ShopRite Supermarkets.

PRACS Institute, formerly Cetero Research announced that Mark Ubert has been named Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ubert joined Cetero in 2009 as corporate controller.

Lattice Engines announced the appointment of Howie Shohet as Chief Financial Officer. Howie was previously with C3, Juniper Networks and Siebel Systems.

DORA Holdings announced the appointment of H. Richard Hagen as its Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining DORA Holdings, Hagen practiced law with the Spesia & Ayers in Will County. Hagen also practiced law in Chicago for over a decade with Mayer Brown and Chapman and Cutler.

HEI Hotels & Resorts announced that Anthony Rutledge, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel has been promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Rutledge joined HEI shortly after its formation in 2002.

Microline Surgical, Inc. announced the appointment of Darlene Deptula-Hicks as the company’s chief financial officer (CFO). Deptula-Hicks joins Microline from iCAD Inc. where she served as executive vice president of Finance and chief financial officer and treasurer. Deptula-Hicks previously held CFO positions at ONI Medical Systems, Inc. and Implant Services Corp. She has also held various senior financial and accounting positions at Implant Sciences Corporation, Abiomed, Inc., GCA Corporation, Edwards High Vacuum International and Puritan Bennett Corporation. Deptula-Hicks also serves on the board of directors and as chair of the Audit Committee of USfalcon, Inc.

Momentum announced it has hired Matthew Conroy as CFO. Prior to joining Momentum, Matthew was Vice President at Octavian Advisors, L.P.

Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) named Victoria Harker as chief financial officer. Harker succeeds Paul Saleh, who left the company in May. Harker joins Gannett from AES Corp. where she was chief financial officer and president of Global Business Services. Prior to AES, Harker was acting CFO and treasurer at MCI. She serves on the boards of directors of Xylem and Darden Restaurants.

NII Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: NIHD) announced that Gokul Hemmady, the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, has been appointed as the company’s chief operating officer. Mr. Hemmady will continue to serve as the company’s chief financial officer until a successor has been named. Mr. Hemmady has served as the company’s chief financial officer since 2007, adding the title chief transformation officer in February 2012. Prior to joining NII, Mr. Hemmady was vice president and chief financial officer of ADC Telecommunications where he held financial leadership positions for 10 years. Prior to joining ADC in 1997, he held senior-level international finance positions at US West, US West International and Citibank.

glendonTodd Capital LLC announced it has appointed Mary Hatcher to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Ms. Hatcher served as a Mergers and Acquisitions Consultant for Blockbuster Inc. from January 2010 through April 2010. Previously, Ms. Hatcher served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer for Blockbuster Inc. from 2007 until 2009. Ms. Hatcher joined Blockbuster in 2000 as Vice President of Investor Relations and in 2002, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. In 2003, she also assumed the role of Corporate Treasurer. From 2005 until 2007, she expanded her responsibility to include the Accounting, Finance, and Shared Financial Services functions. Prior to joining Blockbuster, Ms. Hatcher held investor relations positions with several large Dallas-based companies, including 7-Eleven, Inc. and Excel Communications. Ms. Hatcher serves as a Board member and Chair of the Finance and Compensation Committee for the Dallas Film Society.

Eisai Inc., the U.S. pharmaceutical subsidiary of Eisai Co., Ltd., announced the immediate appointment of Shaji Procida to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Ms. Procida held the position of Vice President of Finance. Ms. Procida has had a long and successful career at Eisai. She joined the company in 1998 and continually progressed until 2010 when she was promoted to Vice President of Finance.
