Experience SAP in New Ways at CeBIT 2010 in Hannover, Germany

SAP AG (NYSE: SAP), the world’s leading provider of business software and largest software company in Europe, is expanding its presence at CeBIT 2010 in Hannover, Germany. Parallel to CeBIT, SAP will host the German SAP World Tour from March 2 – 5. Being held as a regional convention for customers in Halls 19 and 20, SAP World Tour adds a new quality and depth to CeBIT by providing a forum for customers to meet with peers and hear from SAP executives on various topics that impact a company’s day-to-day business practices. In addition, the SAP World Tour offerss customers and stakeholders additional incentives for visiting SAP at the trade fair.

Casting off its traditional stands, the long-established booth in Hall 4 will be revamped as a pathway along which visitors explore and experience the use of SAP solutions in various aspects of daily life. The SAP booth in Hall 5, the SME hall, is also new: Here, together with partners, SAP will be presenting its range of solutions for small businesses and midsize companies. In the Public Sector Parc in Hall 9, SAP will demonstrate solutions for government organizations.

By hosting the SAP World Tour customer conference in conjunction with CeBIT, SAP aims to see a greater influx of visitors. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the trade show, while interested CeBIT attendees are invited to visit the SAP World Tour. The space for the SAP World Tour in Halls 19 and 20 is divided into exhibition areas with numerous booths from SAP and partners and is open to all CeBIT attendees. To access the actual customer conference area, visitors can purchase a special entrance ticket at a small fee. SAP World Tour tickets bought in advance also are valid for access to the CeBIT trade show areas.

Each of the four days of the SAP World Tour has a specific focus. On March 2, the main topic is ‘corporate management’ with presentations, workshops and numerous product demos showcasing how business intelligence and distinctive software solutions can help businesses achieve better control, gain greater clarity and become more sustainable. The second day’s theme, ‘IT excellence’, primarily addresses IT managers and CIOs. The third day is devoted to how SAP® Business Suite 7 helps companies take a holistic approach to orchestrating complex business processes. SAP solutions for small businesses and midsize companies are in the spotlight on the last day of the SAP World Tour, March 5.

‘Experience SAP’ in Hall 4
SAP is pursuing an entirely new exhibition concept at its main booth in Hall 4 (Hall 4, Booth D12): Seven realistic scenarios illustrate to CeBIT attendees how SAP applications touch each of their daily lives. The scenarios vividly demonstrate how the use of business software has changed our work and private lives – whether at home, at work, on vacation, while shopping, or during leisure time. The exhibit showcases SAP implementations that customers are already running today as well as research projects envisioning tomorrow. Guided tours are offered at set times, in particular for students and SAP users.

SAP Booth for Midsize Companies in Hall 5
SAP will have its own booth specifically for small businesses and midsize companies for the first time, displaying the entire SAP portfolio of solutions for these market segments (Hall 5, Stand A 04). At more than 40 demo points, SAP and numerous partner companies will show how SAP-based solutions can improve the competiveness of many small and midsize companies from diverse industries. The booth is located at the entrance to Hall 5, near the main SAP booth in Hall 4. Numerous partners are also located near the SAP booths in Halls 4 and 5.

SAP in the Public Sector Parc in Hall 9
As in past years, SAP will host a booth in the Public Sector Parc (Hall 9, Booth C 52) at CeBIT. The main focus is “service-oriented administration”, software supporting processes between public administration and citizens. Transparency – internally as well as for citizens – is a topic that has become increasingly important and much discussed in recent months. SAP will demonstrate how business intelligence solutions help administrations more effectively evaluate large amounts of data for reporting and controlling. Also present at the booth are the classic SAP applications for public accounting and procurement as well as dedicated applications for areas of public safety.

“CeBIT is an essential platform for cultivating relationships with our customers, partners and the public,” said Michael Kleinemeier, managing director, SAP Germany. “Therefore, we’re further expanding our presence at CeBIT 2010 with the SAP World Tour. I’m convinced that we will be able to offer our customers an exciting and new conference and exhibition experience.”
