Canada | CFO Moves – week ending March 17, 2017

Tucows Inc. [TORONTO] (NASDAQ: TCX, TSX: TC) announced that Michael Cooperman will retire as Chief Financial Officer effective April 1, 2017 following 18-years of service with the Company. Cooperman will remain with the Company in a senior advisory role to ensure a seamless transition. Tucows’ appointed Dave Singh to succeed Mr. Cooperman as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Singh has served as Vice President Finance at Tucows since February 2016. Prior to joining Tucows, Mr. Singh spent eight years at KPMG in Vancouver, primarily focused on public company audits in the technology field. After KPMG, Mr. Singh joined TELUS and held a number of progressive roles, including Director of TELUS Financial Reporting and Analysis, Director of Retail and most recently CFO of TELUS International, TELUS’ outsourcing division.

Golden Queen Mining Co. Ltd. [VANCOUVER] (TSX: GQM; OTC: GQMNF) announced that Guy Le Bel, a current director on the board, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Until recently, he served as Vice President Evaluations for Capstone Mining Corp. Previously, Mr. Le Bel was VP, Business Development at Quadra Mining Ltd., and prior to that held business advisory, strategy and planning, business valuation, and financial planning management roles at BHP Billiton Base Metals Ltd., Rio Algom Ltd. and Cambior Inc.

Almonty Industries Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX-V: AII) announced the appointment of Mark Gelmon as the Chief Financial Officer of Almonty. Mr. Gelmon also was appointed to the Board of Directors and as a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Gelmon succeeds Dennis Logan, who resigned from the CFO position and as a director of Almonty to pursue other interests. Mr. Gelmon previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Almonty’s subsidiary, Woulfe Mining Corp. (“Woulfe”), the owner of Almonty’s interest in the Sangdong Tungsten mine in South Korea, from early 2010 until September 2015 when the Company acquired Woulfe. Mr. Gelmon has provided his expertise to several TSX Venture Exchange listed companies in the capacity of director, chief financial officer and consultant and is a partner at iO Corporate Services Ltd.

ECN Capital Corp. [TORONTO] (TSX: ECN) announced the appointment of Grier Colter as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Michel Béland. Mr. Colter initially joined ECN Capital as Executive Vice President, Finance in January 2017. Most notably, prior to joining ECN Capital, Mr. Colter served as Vice President and Treasurer of Canadian Tire Corp. Prior to that, Mr. Colter served in senior level positions at large publicly traded and private Canadian corporations. In conjunction with Mr. Colter’s appointment, Mr. Béland has announced his retirement from ECN Capital. Mr. Béland served as CFO of Element Financial Corp. from 2011.

Tervita Corporation [CALGARY] announced the appointment of Rob Dawson as Tervita’s Chief Financial Officer, replacing outgoing CFO Stephen Kersley. Dawson recently filled the role of Chief Financial Officer for Canadian Oil Sands Ltd. He also has close to a decade of experience with Syncrude Canada Ltd., moving progressively into senior roles, with his final posting as Vice President, Finance.

TeraGo Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX:TGO) announces that Chief Financial Officer Joe Prodan is leaving TeraGo to pursue outside interests. Jeffrey Yim, Vice President Corporate Development and Finance will continue to lead the Finance team at TeraGo

ZoomAway Travel Inc. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: ZMA) announced the appointment of David Mustard as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Mustard is a senior financial executive with 20+ years of achievements, primarily in corporate and tribal hotel-casinos.

West Fraser [VANCOUVER] announced that Larry Hughes will retire as Vice President, Finance and CFO at the end of March 2017. Chris Virostek will become Vice President, Finance and CFO upon Mr. Hughes’ retirement. Chris has held a number of senior financial roles at Masonite International Corporation since 2002, most recently as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development.
