The Role
BlackFin Tech is looking for a motivated Investment Intern to join our Paris office. You will play an active role in a small, dynamic team, contributing to the entire investment process – from sourcing and due diligence to portfolio monitoring.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced investors, build your professional network, and gain first-hand exposure to the European fintech and venture capital ecosystem.
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting ambitious fintech founders and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the investment team in sourcing, screening, and analyzing potential deals, with a focus on the European fintech landscape
- Conduct market research, sector deep dives, and prepare research notes and presentations
- Contribute to marketing and communication efforts related to our investment activity
- Assist with portfolio monitoring and support our portfolio companies as needed
- Help manage investor relations and communication with external stakeholders
Requirements
- Enrolled in a top-tier business or engineering school
- At least one relevant professional experience (e.g. investment banking, consulting, or tech/startup environment) is a strong plus
- Demonstrated interest in venture capital, startups, and fintech/financial services
- Strong analytical and numerical skills; comfortable working with Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in French and English (both required)
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
Timing and Compensation
- Duration: 6 months
- Start date: February 2025 (flexible)
- Compensation: Paid internship, including meal vouchers and 50% coverage of public transportation costs
