Avon Products, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: AVP) announced the appointment of Jamie Wilson as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He replaces Avon’s current Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, James Scully. Prior to joining Avon, Mr. Wilson served as CFO of SABMiller. Prior to SABMiller, Mr. Wilson was Strategy and Projects Director at Scottish & Newcastle. Additionally, Mr. Wilson spent several years at Highland Distillers, where he held a variety of positions, most notably Group Finance Director. Mr. Wilson began his professional career at Deloitte Haskins & Sells.
Sprint [OVERLAND PARK, Kan.] (NYSE: S) announced its board of directors has elected Patrick T. (“Pat”) Doyle to the board. Mr. Doyle will chair the Audit Committee. Mr. Doyle most recently served as DirecTV’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Finance. After joining the company in 1992, Mr. Doyle held a variety of positions in finance and accounting at DirecTV until he retired following the company’s acquisition by AT&T in July of 2015.
Texas Instruments [DALLAS] (NASDAQ: TXN) announced that Rafael Lizardi will become the company’s next chief financial officer. Lizardi follows current Chief Financial Officer Kevin March, who has been in the role for 13 years. Lizardi joined TI in 2001 and was named vice president in 2010. Prior to joining TI, Lizardi was a captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Neiman Marcus Group [DALLAS, TX] announced that Michael Fung will serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Neiman Marcus Group. This position was previously held by Donald T. Grimes. Most recently, Mr. Fung served as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for 99 Cents Only Stores and currently serves on its board. Prior to that, Michael spent 11 years at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., retiring in 2012.
