Job Title: Developer/Junior Developer
Reporting to: Dean Randle – Technical Manager
Job Outline: ASP.net Developer, Financial Web Application
This Role is for a Developer and a Junior Developer looking to support and extend an existing web portal application. The successful applicant will invest long term in the company and product. The environment is one of support and encouragement to learn, grow, and contribute to the on-going quality and direction of the software tools we develop.

We are looking for someone who will become part of the family and take a long-term stake in the company with a great opportunity to influence the direction and success of the enterprise.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
• Key technologies:
o ASP.Net
o C#
o .Net Framework 4
o SQL Server
o MS Visual Studio, Source Safe, etc.
o XML
• Important technologies:
o XSLT
o Javascript (and JQuery)
o LlBlGen
o PDF creation
• Key Experience:
o Developing public facing web applications
o Development & use of Unit Tests
• Desirable Experience:
o Working in a small team
o Agile and Scrum development methodology
o Working in Finance, AR, AP, purchasing environments, especially in an e-commerce context
o Hardware and network support and maintenance
o NANT
o Mercurial
o Relevant Degree

Key Tasks
• Coding of systems against an approved Design, ensuring quality is maintained and design issues/concerns are raised as early as possible.
• Design technical solutions to functional requirements maintaining the context of the portal within the design.
• Design Review and Code Review.
• Pro-actively seek to improve internal processes, standards, and documentation.
• Assist the Technical Author where necessary to ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Work with the test team to apply and automate testing to capture defects as early as possible.

Personal Attributes:
The Role requires working closely with a small but dynamic team. Team chemistry will be as important as skills. As a member of this team you will be expected to become familiar with all parts and technologies of the application and to gain skills to enable support and extension of the application.
A key focus has been development of a solid architecture and contributions to the design and implementation of this architecture are welcomed and expected.
As part of a small team the opportunity to influence the culture and processes is great and the successful person will contribute positively to this.

UK Location:
The location of the office has not yet been finalised, but will likely be in/around Andover, although Basingstoke and Central Hampshire (Wiltshire/Romsey, etc.) will also be considered.
