CFO Moves Canada – week ending October 25, 2013

Canadian Pacific Railway Limited (TSX: CP) (NYSE: CP) announced that its chief financial officer, Brian Grassby will be retiring from the company, however will remain a key part of the senior management team until year-end to lead a successful transition. A search process is currently underway and it is expected an announcement on a new chief financial officer will be made shortly.

Sprott Inc. (TSX: SII) and Sprott Resource Corp. (TSX: SCP) announced that Steve Yuzpe has been named President and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of Sprott Resource Corp. Mr. Yuzpe has served as Sprott Resource Corp.’s Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and a member of the company’s investment team since 2009. He is currently the Chairman of One Earth Farms Corp., as well as a Director of One Earth Oil and Gas Inc. Mr. Yuzpe will continue to act as Sprott Resource Corp.’s CFO on an interim basis.

Russell Breweries Inc. (TSX-V: RB) appointed Kwong Choo as new Chief Financial Officer for the Company. Mr. Kwong Choo previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance & Administration with Wex Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Oracle Mining Corp. (TSX: OMN) announced that Chief Financial Officer, Tiffany Grenke, has left the company. Ms. Grenke has transitioned out of the CFO role over the past two months due to personal reasons. The Corporation expects to announce a new CFO in the near term.

Miranda Gold Corp. (TSX-V: MAD) reports that Doris Meyer has notified the Company of her decision to retire as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Meyer has served in this role since 2006. She will remain as Corporate Secretary. Len Goldsmith has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Goldsmith has over 25 years’ experience including roles as Chief Financial Officer, Canada Revenue Agency auditor, public practice accountant, manager of budgets and analysis, and accounting services manager, among others.

SelectCore Ltd. (TSX-V: SCG) announced that it has appointed Fareed Sheik as its acting Chief Financial Officer. He is currently the Managing Partner of Fareed Sheik Professional Corporation. Mr. Sheik replaces Alan Doody, who resigned as Senior Controller and Interim Chief Financial Officer to pursue other business opportunities.

Legend Gold Corp. (TSX-V: LGN) announced the appointment of David Miles as Chief Financial Officer, replacing Kyle Appleby.

Intega IT announced the addition of Maryline Cauvier as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ms. Cauvier was the former CFO and CEO of Code Inc.

Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (TSX-V: GSI) announced the appointment of Kevin Ma as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Kevin replaces Jonathan Jackson who has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

CFO Moves Canada – week ending October 18, 2013

Reliance Resources Limited (TSX: RI) announced the appointment of Kevin Kye as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Kye has worked in leading international accounting firms including Ernst & Young as well as in respected listed and private companies.

NorRock Realty Finance Corporation (TSX-V: RF.H) announced that Raymond Steele has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Steele was initially appointed as interim Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation on September 15, 2012. He was a founder, investment manager, and CFO of Mavrix Fund Management Inc., from 2001 to 2010.

Black Diamond Group Limited (TSX: BDI) announced the appointment of Marshall McRae as interim Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. The appointment will be for a period up to 14 months within which the Company will launch a search for a long-term Chief Financial Officer with an expectation of filling that role by the second half of 2014. Since 2009, Mr. McRae has been an independent financial and management consultant. Prior thereto, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of CCS Inc., administrator of CCS Income Trust and its successor corporation, CCS Corporation (now Tervita). Mr. McRae has over 30 years of experience in senior operating and financial management positions with a number of publicly traded and private companies, including CCS Inc., Versacold Corporation and Mark’s Work Wearhouse Limited. He currently serves as a Director and Audit Committee Chairperson for Gibson Energy Inc. and Athabasca Oil Corp. Black Diamond Group Limited’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Michael Burnyeat, announced his resignation after seven years of service.

CFO Moves Canada – week ending October 11, 2013

Tekmira Pharmaceuticals Corporation (TSX: TKM) announced that Bruce Cousins has joined Tekmira as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 2004, Mr. Cousins joined Aspreva Pharmaceuticals and led its highly successful IPO. In 2008, he played a key leadership role in the eventual sale of Aspreva. Prior to joining Aspreva, Mr. Cousins spent 14 years with Johnson & Johnson (J&J) working in operations and finance, both domestically and internationally. More recently, Mr. Cousins has spent the past few years in the renewable energy sector, and from 2011 to 2013 he was Chief Executive Officer of Carmanah Technologies Corporation.

Webtech Wireless Inc. (TSX: WEW) announced that Trevor Greene has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Greene is being promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer following the departure of Andrew Morden, who has resigned. Mr. Greene joined Webtech Wireless as Director of Finance in early 2011 and is a former Chief Financial Officer of Norsat International Inc..

TAG Oil Ltd. (TSX: TAO) announced the appointment of Chris Ferguson as its Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), replacing Blair Johnson. Mr. Ferguson will be joining the TAG team on December 1, 2013. Recently, Mr. Ferguson spent five years working with Origin Energy New Zealand as their Finance and Planning Manager.

Renaissance Gold Inc. (TSX: REN) reports that Doris Meyer notified the Company of her decision to retire as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Meyer has served in this role since the Company’s inception in May 2010. She will remain as Corporate Secretary. Dan O’Brien has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer.

Santa Barbara Resources Limited (TSX-V: SBL) announced that Doris Meyer has notified the Company of her decision to retire as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Meyer has served in this role since the Company’s inception in 2007. She will remain as Corporate Secretary. Dan O’Brien has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. O’Brien has been the Company’s Controller since 2012.

Kalimantan Gold Corporation Limited (TSX-V: KLG) announced that Doris Meyer has notified the Company of her decision to retire as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Meyer has served in this role with the Company since 1997. She will remain as a Director and as Corporate Secretary. Len Goldsmith has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Goldsmith was previously the Controller for the Company since 2011.

European Uranium Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: EUU) reports that Doris Meyer has notified the Company of her decision to retire as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Meyer has held this position since 2008 and will remain as EUU’s Corporate Secretary. Len Goldsmith has been appointed to replace Ms. Meyer as EUU’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Goldsmith has been the Company’s controller since 2009.

Stream Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSX-V: SKO) announced that James Hodgson has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. With his resignation, he has also stepped down as a Director on the Board of Directors and as Corporate Secretary. Paul Plater, Vice President, Finance and Corporate Controller, has been appointed as interim Chief Financial Officer of Stream. Mr. Plater has held his role as VP, Finance and Corporate Controller since January 2013 and has consulted to Stream through Plater Financial Consulting Ltd. since 2009. He has had experience consulting in a CFO capacity to other Calgary and Vancouver-based public companies in the energy and investment sectors since 2006.

Huntington Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: HEI) announced that Sharon Evans has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of HEI. Prior to joining the Corporation, Ms. Evans worked at Thiessen & Company for over 18 years, consulting for a variety of oil and gas companies.

CFO Moves Canada – week ending October 4, 2013

DiagnoCure Inc. (TSX: CUR) announced that Chantal Miklosi has resigned her position as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation effective October 11th. She will leave to pursue other career opportunities. Dr. Yves Fradet, President and Chief Medical Officer, supported by Richard Bordeleau, Senior Advisor, will maintain contact with investors and the general public. Frédéric Boivin, Senior Director, who has served in finances and administration for 12 years, will oversee financial matters. Danielle Allard, Senior Director, Corporate Affairs will continue to be responsible for all filings to regulatory agencies.

GASFRAC Energy Services Inc. (TSX: GFS) announced the appointment of Lori MacLeod-Hill as Chief Financial. Lori’s experience includes being a CFO for a publicly listed oilfield safety services company.

First Nickel (TSX: FNI) announced that Alfred Colas has joined the Company as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Colas was most recently Corporate Controller of Rainy River Resources Ltd. and prior to that held several positions in finance at Barrick Gold Corp. Mr. Colas replaces Steven Cresswell who stepped down as Chief Financial Officer.

Rainy River Resources Ltd. (TSX: RR) announced the appointment of Brian Penny as Chief Financial Officer.

Rubicon Minerals Corporation (TSX: RMX) appointed Nick Nikolakakis to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He was the former Chief Financial Officer of Rainy River Resources. Prior to Rainy River, Nick was the Vice President of Corporate Finance at Barrick Gold Corporation. Other previously held positions by Mr. Nikolakakis include, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Placer Dome Canada, and Treasurer at North American Palladium Ltd. Mr. Nikolakakis will replace Bob Lewis, the former Rubicon Chief Financial Officer, who has decided to pursue other opportunities.

Imvescor Restaurant Group Inc. (TSX: IRG) announced that Ming-Ming Wong, Chief Financial Officer and Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company, has indicated to the Board of Directors that she would be leaving the Company. As a result of the departure of Ms. Wong, Stéphane LeBlanc, Vice President Finance of the Company, will be appointed Chief Financial Officer.

Sunward Resources Ltd. (TSX: SWD) announced the appointment of Paul Robertson as its Chief Financial Officer. Currently, he is the managing partner of Quantum Advisory Partners LLP. Previously, Mr. Robertson held senior financial positions with a number of Colombia-focused companies. Robertson replaces Michael Malana, the outgoing Chief Financial Officer.

Moimstone Corporation (“Moimstone”) (TSX-V: MSE) announced the appointment of Michael Malana as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Moimstone, Mr. Malana was Chief Financial Officer of Sunward Resources Ltd.. Malana replaces Rob McJunkin as Chief Financial Officer.

Reliant Gold Corp. (TSX-V: REC) announced the appointment of J. Errol Farr as the Corporation’s Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Farr, a director and non-executive Chairman of the Corporation, has served as a chief financial officer of several junior, publicly-listed mineral resource companies and has also been in private practice as a Certified Management Accountant providing financial and management support services.

Sentry Investments announced that Edward L. Merchand has joined Sentry Investments as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Mr. Merchand has spent the past 21 years at Mackenzie Investments, including the last 11 years as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, he worked with the public accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand.

Cerro Mining Corp. (TSX-V: CRX) announced the appointment Sharon Lewis as the Company’s new Chief Financial Officer and as a director. Mike McCleave has resigned from his position as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Ms. Lewis also currently the chief financial officer of Esstra Industries Inc., Cascadero Copper Corporation and Stealth Minerals Limited. Prior to this, Ms. Lewis was a director of White Bear Resources and Cassius Ventures Ltd.

Iona Energy Inc. (TSX-V: INA) announced that Rod Begbie has joined the organization as Chief Financial Officer. Graham Heath, who has been acting as Iona’s Interim Chief Financial Officer since April, will return to his duties as VP Corporate Development. Mr. Begbie was most recently the Corporate Development Director on the board of Venture Production plc.
